ever since we moved into our house the path has been in a right state, all broken away at the edge, my fella has already fell on this path and chipped his ankle bone, we have reported this problem no less than 10 times in the 20 month that we have been here, the council have sent 3 people out on different ocasions to inspect this path and have told us it will be fixed, but it hasnt been, now if one of my kids fall on this path i have no dout they will brake there leg.

is there anything else that we can do to get them to repair it apart fom going to see a solicitor?

buy your own house and keep the path in the state you want to.

You're getting the house for free FFS, either fix it yourself or stop fucking moaning. You've a roof over your heads for nothing and not living on the streets in the freezing cold.

People who buy their own house to put their own roof over their heads dont call the council if their path is a mess, they have to do it themselves whilst paying taxes to help fix your path and pay for your house.

if its a council house, the council MUST replace/repair, the tenant CANNOT do it themselves, as they dont have any liability cover for if anybody walks up the path and gets injured.

in a council house, your not even allowed to replace an internal door.

as for people saying that she gets it free etc, get real. in cases it can cost more to rent from a council than say a private company.

if she was paying rent to a landlord, and the path was damaged, would everyone carry on saying "oh do it yourself ffs"

Do you pay real rental prices, or do you pay subsidised council rent?

It's a council house as in it's their responsability, I've heard of people getting charged by the council because they changed stuff like the path's.

It's like if your privatly renting, all maintenance is upto the landlord as in this case the council
