Right, the passenger side wing mounting bracket on my GSi bumper broke a while ago when someone reversed into my front end. It left a big horrible gap that really annoyed me all the time.
I could see it was the lack of this bracket because if I lefted the bumper from underneath the gap closed up.

Gap:

So I took the bumper off the car

here you can see how the clip should look (drivers side)

and here is the snapped off passenger side

so I got hold of a spare front bumper (must be pre 97)

and cut off the bracket making sure I took all of the plastic ribbing attached to it

I then offerd it over the existing ribbing that was left on the GSi bumper

Put araldite over the bonding surfaces and held it in place with clips and left it to dry

Then I put a couple of screws through for added strength as the bumper will be pulling down on this bracket, make sure you use short ones though so they don't go through the outside of the bumper!

Sorted!

the finished result, not a great pic but you can see the difference

So yea problem solved and i'm much happier

nice one

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
