My Mum being a bit of a noob when it comes to texting, has always thought lol means lots of love, when we all know it as laughs out loud.

Not really an issue as she never really texts anyone.

Until the other day, my friends mum went into hospital after being diagnosed with cancer.

The text to my mate read:

just heard about your mum. hope she gets well soon lol




I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
