I wouldn't get one at 18 tbh. You will regret having debts in the future.

I just have a standard natwest one. I only use it for things like electrical goods and holidays where the payment protection is good

However its setup to pay itself off by direct debit in full every month so I can keep on top of it and not risk forgetting

they can still reject you though surely its just applying for one, now they will go through it and either allow you or deny you.

personally i have one but i hate using it (used it 3 times on bigger items like plane tickets and stuff so i can have more of a come back should stuff go tits up ) would have one otherwise.

again surely they wont give you a student loan (if its the actual student loans you get) if you dont have a place at a uni.

unless you mean a loan from an actual bank

when you say student loan do you mean the one off the government or from a bank?

government wont give it to you unless you have a place at uni i wouldnt of thought and even then you only get the money like a few weeks before uni starts iirc.
