The Mini was booked into BMW this morning for a service.
Courtesy car had been arranged. We arrive (me and mum) to discover they had made a mistake and the Mini Cooper we were supposed to get had been booked out to someone else
Anyhow after about 20 mins of deliberating they foolishly hand mum a set of keys to a 3 week old Atlantic Blue Bmw 320d Se (Coupe) haha!!
just like this ..

but.......... . I'm not allowed to drive it cos I'm under 25
I think thats discrimination btw!!!)

Vauxhall used to try that sort of bollocks with me. Useless bunch of badgers.
Why have you got to pay £10 extra?

Yeah tbh, for a large dealership the organisation seems a shambles. Firstly we were told to be there anytime after 8.30am to drop the mini off and pick up the courtesy car. We were told that we would have the courtesy car for 2 days (no idea why) and that it would need to be returned by 5.00pm Tuesday. We arrive to all this confusion this morning, then get hit with ' you need to have it back by 5.00pm TODAY' Luckily my mum can get away from work to get it there tonight, but the place seems like disorganised chaos!!!

Would you have had to pay £10 to insure the Mini had it not already been booked?

I always get my local VW dealer to collect and return my car. Even if I wanted a courtesy they said because I was under 25 I would have to inform my own insurer but wouldn't be any extra cost.
Why do they need the mini for 2 days anyway?

What a load of PISH
I've had a variety of couresy cars from my local SEAT garage before, a new Ibiza 1.2 12v, an old Leon TDi and the best on was the ex demostrator 1.8T Alhambra with EVERY SINGLE TOY

Don't get the Keys Colin, all you will see is the fuel gauge dose not move in proportion to the speed

Well yeah kind off
My mum got to drive it, just had to show her licence, it was either that or their collect and deliver service but we had opted for the courtesy car
And the rule for over 25's applies for any of their courtesy cars, so even if the mini cooper had been available I still wouldn't have been able to drive it

I'd take my business away from that garage if they can't provide the owner with a couresy car...
