As some of you are aware i had a slight bump in the astra in June.

A golf an myself scrapped each other at about 2mph... no front to back impact just a little side scrape.

No ive got a letter claiming she's got back/neck/shoulder injury!

Can she seriously claim off me even tho its a complete load of toss!

If she can... can i also do the same and claim off her even tho i havent been docs??

I wouldnt lower yourself to her level.

Counter claim with fraud and tell them you want $1B for stress caused to you by her claim.

You have pics of the car damage? Just send those back along with a letter telling them if thats caused her any injury whatsoever then your a monkies uncle!!

Definitely try and report her, my boss hand to go to court for one of her whiplash claims, if it is an obvious piss take she might end up getting into trouble.

Similar-ish happened to me when I was 18. A bloke slammed his brakes on when pulling away and I pulled into the back of him. Straight away said he wanted it written off etc because he'd wanted to sell it. He and his wife claimed whiplash anyway

Or claim you have PTSD and you can't read your post any more because you're afraid of reading more letters about bullshit claims.

If she claims for whiplash, does that mean you have to pay personaly? Or do youre insurance pay for it which increases ure policy?

It's settled by your insurance company, making the claim even bigger

You'd think that they review it, but the amount of claims that you hear go through they probably just give a statutory £1500 for anyone that cries wolf...

in general that's what tends to happen, im a law costs draftsman so i analyse these types of files everyday!

They are laughable but i would say 80% of the cases i see are. Unfortunately there isn't much you can do if you admitted liability at the outset. If not then make a counter-claim, however, if there were no witnesses then it WILL get split 50/50 at court.

To be honest, personally, i would claim aswell, get in touch with your insurers and speak about it, say you've had pain, thought nothing of it until you received that letter and that it could all tie in with the accident etc.
