Need a 2 new key cards for the laguna....

Renault want £280 for 2 key cards.

I sent a quote to and advert in the back of the autotrader (not a renault dealer) who quoted the same price!!?? I said it was the same price, and he said why should i charge less??

Am i missing something?

Can you not get them repaired. Assuming the micro switches have gone and it wont lock or unlock? If so, there is a bloke does the repairs for £25 o so a card. Search on ebay for him, or keycardrepair.co.uk or similar for his website.

Hope this helps?

if its anything like our keys, theyll be ordered to chassis number.. rendering them useless to another vehicle and yes i imagine theyll need coding too..

Just what I've heard from customers etc that I've dropped off. I work for Green Flag so were out to good old Lagunas a fair bit..

Do a bit of phoning around different dealers, I'm sure you will get them for around the £200 mark..

Thing is if there is enough info about coding, changing them on a forum etc.. you can do them yourself. Eg. Seat dealers quote £175 ish for a new flip key. I did mine for about £40. If Renault has the equivalent of Vag Com etc.. it can easily be done with blank key fob, card off ebay.

Problem is if it needs coding at the dealers i will have to potentially drive miles to that dealer...

Think i will get a new one then send the old one to mr fix it...

I used to work fo renault, the laguna keys have to be specially ordered from france and they come cut to the chassis number.

But you can buy the card without the actual key part for about £50-60 (cant remember exact), then the coding is about £40 ish depending on where u get it done.
