Right, going to sound a little random....
I've had a cough for about a month, and just started to do something about it the other day... Since Wednesday morning I've had 4 bottles of Covonia Mentholated Cough Mixture cough medicine from Tesco..... I've realised it's not doing anything and I shouldn't be drinking it as much.
My friends dad is a GP and I asked him today what's the best thing to get off the shelves? He replied Manuka honey... he said the higher the number the better....
So I went to Holland and Barrett and went to purchase some honey.... I came back with "Spirits Bay Manuka Honey UMF 25+" Was a little wary at the counter when she said £25.... But as I didn't want to feel like a bellend I bought it anyway....
After googleing manuka honey a few mins ago... It says how awesome it is and goes on about health gains.
Anybody else heard of this stuff for using it to get rid of colds, the flu, coughs etc? Fucking hope it works

When I used to work in my local deli, it used to be a big seller
Never tried it myself but apparently it tastes great (if you like honey) and is good for health stuff too
£25 though I thought the one we sold for £12.50 was steep

My Dr is nicknamed Dr Paracetamol round my way as he never seems to prescribe anything unless you're actually dieing - the rest of the time it's "just take paracetamol and see how you go"

yes we've used it for ages
sure you've heard of tea tree? natures antiseptic... well the manuka honey bees feed off the pollen from the tea tree plant, which is why it has good healing properties
the higher the UMF is the better quality it is, and if you paid £25 that must be a really good one

another tip if you feel like you're getting a sore throat is to put a couple of drops of tea tree oil into some as hot as you can take water, and gargle with it a few times before bed
yeah, doesn't taste very nice, but you'll wake up with no sore throat in the morning

Aye saw some cheaper ones in Tesco, but apparently it's all about the number on them as Shelly said.
I've had about 4 spoons of it so far

It's very sweet!
Probably start having it on porridge or on toast or something, rather than off a spoon
