Orange have changed their terms and conditons of contracts taken out and there for people are allowed to cancel their contracts

http://www.bitterwallet.com/cancelling-your-orange-contract-a-troubleshooting-guide/15849

That gives people all the facts and the talk when in touch with Orange

Hope it helps someone out there

Im not too sure, if youve had your contract 0-4 months id ring and ask. Judging by the link it may take a few attempts as Orange are trying to keep customers as youd expect. Good thing is that if your entitled to cancel the phone isnt part of the contract so you can keep it and sell it

Just ring up and ask if you can cancel. There are things on their system that will tell you if you can or not. If you allowed then ur lucks in! As for taking a contract out getting a phone etc the new contracts have their new t&c !

So does this work for people who have entered a contract in the last 4 months?

I renewed my contract at the start of the year...

No, because your new phone would be subject the revised contract.

This issue relates to a change in the contract for existing customers who, because of the change, are within their rights to cancel the current arrangement.

Not sure how it affects handsets though. Would be interesting to see if anyone who has taken up one recently and got a free one is able to keep it on cancellation and get another the next day.

I could cancel but I'm not sure if I want to now.

For £20 a month I get:

400 mins anytime anywhere etc
500 texts
Unlimited Internet etc

I can't find a deal with a N97 that can come anywhere near that without paying a lot for the phone. I have an E71 now which I am more than happy with and only phone I would go for is a N97.

You won't be affected if you took out a contract after May IIRC. If I was to cancel and they wanted the phone back, I'd throw it in water and say it didn't work, but I couldn't get a replacement as I hadn't taken out any insurance.

Awesome. Got mine last month, and got the text yesterday.

Will ring and cancel tomorrow and get a cheaper SIM only deal.

12 monthers are drying up, and if you do want one you get a shitty allowance for the same price a month of an 18 month contract. Have to bite the bullet I recommend these cashback ones though, mine seems to work pretty good

4 of my mates have told me they are on Orange and have been allowed to re-new their 18-month contract after 12 months. I believe this applies to any 18-month contract.

Best bet is to phone up Orange and ask them yourself, I'm almost 100% sure that they allow anyone to re-new 12-months into a 18-month contract though.
