Hi guys this girl I've been seeing has just text me saying she has been in an accident and is now saying that her neck hurts. She was stationary at traffic lights and a brand new Bmw hit her from behind doing 30mph. She wants something to be done about her neck like make a claim but does it mean getting insurance involved!

cheers

Who was in the accident her or you?
Yeah just send the bill for the claim to the other party. I'm sure they'll pay up.

If a brand new BMW went into the back of you at 30mph would your car not be smashed to fook?

Are you contemplating dealing with this outside of insurance?

im currently claiming for whiplash without going through my insurance.

used a 3rd party company that deal with everything, car hire , repiaring the car , they put me through to there soliciter and took it from there.

Why do that instead of going via the other persons insurance?

All that's doing is giving somebody else a massive cut with an extortionate hire car, which just puts everybodys insurance up.

If you went via the 3rd party's insurance you'd have got exactly the same

When you make a claim, you have to pay your excess. Then it gets refunded back to you but it can take months!

With a 3rd Party company, you pay nothing.

This is the only reason i did it when someone reversed into me at a petrol station.

You don't pay anything if you go through the other persons insurance and nowhere near your own.

Why go around insurance nathy, all these conmen companies will do is charge that much that the other driver has to go through insurance, bringing us back to my first point.

You must have went to your own insurance then.

If the 3rd party is at fault, which I'm assuming they must be for these companies or they wouldn't take it on, the 3rd party insurance will cover it.

Why would you pay an excess when somebody else has admitted fault anyway and their insurance is dealing with it.

i went to a 3rd party insurer because , my car would of been catorgised and also my premium would have gone up when renewal time came . i didnt originaly plan to use the 3rd party but i took it straight to a bodyshop who happened to be one that worked with this company. and it all went from there . also i didnt have courtesey car cover on my insurance so if i hadnt gone through with them i would of been car-less.

even though your insurance is not involved they need to be informed (well direct line did). its part of the terms and conditions. i didnt inform my insurance till about 2 -3 weeks after i crashed and they were fine about it.

So your insurance know anyway, yet you've still brought in a 3rd party, who just put stupid costs on in the middle.

Instead of informing your insurance then going via the insurance company of the person who hit you, who would have done exactly the same but not stuck on extra costs in the middle.

i asked the company i went through and the only way they make money is from the courtesey cars , they dont just add money on top . they also get a commision if i go through the soliciter they recommend .

it saved me alot of trouble as all i had to do was sign a few pieces of paper . why should i incur any extra costs such as increased premiums and go without a car when my accident was not my fault.

You're not getting me.

You would have got EXACTLY the same by going straight to the insurance of the guy that hit you.

You'll also have exactly the same increased premiums because you've notified your insurance, meaning you'll have to put don in future you've been involved in a crash.

my premiums wont increase , i think its because they havnt had to outlay any costs , i was told by the 3rd party company i didnt have to inform them , but i did anyway just to cover my tracks. if i hadnt told them they wouldnt of ever known anyway , because the guy who crashed into me, his insurance deals with them instead of my insurance company.

You've been conned tbh.
You wouldn't have had to outlay any costs if you went via the other cars insurance company and your insurance would never have known either unless you told them.

This 3rd party company does absolutely nothing, then takes a fee for it.
