I have a Intel E2180, and have just installed a copy of vista (64-bit) onto the PC, I have read some specs on Amazon, it mentions about 64-bit computing, but I don't know wheter or not it means it will run a 64-bit version well, or just really shitty.
Would it be easier to use a 32-bit copy of vista or does it not really matter
Thanks

It's a 64 bit processor so it will run a 64 bit o/s. It can't run 64 bit well or shitty, it will either do it or it wont.

It means the processor can read 64bit code extensions. Like ed said its not a matter of well or not.

Ahh right ok. I know nothing about these things. I take it that it must mean I need to change other things to get the rating up on Vista then, as it's at 1.0 at the moment

have u actually let windows test your system? click on update my score.
If you have, then yea you want at least 2gb memory (easy upgrade) and a decent graphics card (again easy)
You can pick the memory up for about £20-30
and a budget gaming card (ATI or NVIDIA) for about the same.
ebay.

Ahh, might be what was wrong then, as the computer wasn't connected to the net, so I assume it can only give you a 1.0 score

Never mind, sorted it now. Probably got to install graphics drivers, as they were the lowest "subscore" or 1.0, but I have a pretty decent Gfx card.
Edit- All sorted now, back online Scored 4.8 :/
