Im looking at a mates house, he has a belkin 54g router and a acer aspire 1 net book running linux.
He had it running for nearly a year now, up until last few days its decided to stop working. It says that it is connectec to the network, but theres no internet when u try work it.
I tried connecting on my phone, and it would connect but no internet.
He has ntl and the have been out nd aid up to his modem its ok.
Ive tried disconnecting power etc. I have no clue with linux.
Cheers for any pointers!

Check it's getting the correct IP address from the router.
Open the command line (Terminal) and type 'ifconfig' without the ''.

Might want to reset the router using the pin hole in the back. Make sure he has all his settings incase they are needed. If he can access the router config it can usually be backed up.

See i cannot connect to the router, its linux, and i have no clue how to.
I souldnt see the pin hole in the back? i did look for one
