i have quite a leek from my engine at first i thought is was cuming from the sump but its further up the engine above where the threads are for the tb cover i think its pissing out behind the tin plate next to the pulley on the tbelt???? any ideas

sounds like the oil pump seal to me mine done the same on my old engine.

ive no idea theres a gasket behind the oil pump as well as the oil pump crank seal ? im not sure what to do ...the thing is i just recently baught this engine and put it in my corsa i noticed a small leek when i started it the first time and thought it was the roker cover gasket thats sorted and started it up for a second time and after 30seconds of running thats when loads of oil stated pissing out could this be anyting else?

just needs a new gasket by the sounds of things mate. belt off, pump off new gasket, seal, and belt and its done
in the future if you buy an engine dont tke peoples word for it being a tight none leaking engine. strip it and give the bugger a full rebuild as it will save you money in the future

ii guess im learning the hard way lol ... thing is ive just looked agen and the leek seems to be higher up the engine away from oil pump all together? behind the small pulley on the timing belt?

yea m8 one of them was sticking out ive push'd it back slightly hopefully it will sort the job

dont think it was the cam oil seal something further down the engine i think any ideas?

Yeah mate sounds like the oil pump, mine was doing the same thing because the bolts were not fully tightened
Timing belt, bottom pulley and pump off to replace the gasket.
I would personally change the front crankshaft seal at the same time and maybe the timing belt kit.

a few ppl have said this m8 but the leek seems to be away from the oil pump further up the engine near the smaller of the two pulleys on the tbelt cuming from the behind the tin plate i think what could it be
