Should of bought the BB Storm, all other phones produced in the past, and even those that will be made in the future, pale into insignificance compared to it.

Id of had an N97 but as with all N series phones they just break and have software issues that nokia never seem to iron out before rushing into bringing out the next one.

When you get the E71 Dozy Rebel be sure to update the software using the Nokia Software Updater.

Is the E71 THAT good then? Just about to order a new contract.
Is it good for the internet?
I'm struggling to find a package that has free internet on, that's the main thing I want. I'm not even assed about texts, etc.
I've been looking at O2 thinkin I can get a bolt-on for net but it's not apparant? Any advice welcome. Not looking to pay more than £20 a month really.

O2 Simplicity deal has 600 mins 1200 texts and unlimited web bolt on all for £20 pm. You can get a SIM free E71 from play for about £250.
E71 is fine for the internet.

E71 is fine for occasional internet use, I found myself using it for hours a day in work though and the screen just isn't big enough for constant use.
Perfect phone apart from that.
o2 contracts you can normally swap unilmited o2-o2 calls or unlimited texts for unlimited net.
I got 600 mins, 1000 texts, unlimited data and my E71 for £25 a month, and thats when the E71 had been available on o2 for about 2 days.
You'll get a brand new E71 for about £160 if you keep an eye on ebay or avfoums.

TBH I wanted somethin with a decent sized screen that displays the internet as true to how it would be on a PC as possible. I do tend to go on it alot to fill moments of boredom whilst shopping with the mrs and stuff.
My current considerations are HTC Hero, E71, Blackberry Storm maybe or an iPhone (but I don't think you can get this for less than £35 a month?).
Not too bothered about network, but didn't really want to go back on Orange as I don't get reception in my house. I do everywhere else but believe it or not I spend a bit of time at home so it gets annoying leaving it on the window ledge.

I swapped for an HTC magic, wanted the Hero but i'm not long into a contract and wasn't paying 400 for it.
The internet is definitely better, the rest of the phone isn't as polished though and I'm still not getting on with the touchscreen keyboard, the qwerty on the E71 is excellent.

Cheers John.
Seems HTC Hero is Orange only at the mo? Rules that one out. Does look nice tho and kinda wanted something fairly recent.
Not sure what to do tbh. Might hop on an O2 Simplicity deal until I'm certain what I want.

we do the magic now, and i love it. but there are a few new ones coming before christmas. one will be a low entry spec, the other is tipped to be very highly specced.
that and the storm 2, and e72, sony ericsson satio, and a few more blackberrys are all coming in the next 6-8 weeks.
