Whats the measurements for the floor??
Getting a 10" Alpine Type R in its own box, with a MRDM300 Mono Block Amp.
The plan is to put the sub in its box in the corner of the boot, and then build a false floor around it to hold it in place, under the floor I wanna put the amp, with a prespex window on hinges so I can get to it but shut the window so I can put thinks on top safely.
So i need the measurements.
Any -pics of boot build to help inspire me to something different would be much appreciated,

Ello mate. I am in the process of doing my boot build. I have done a false floor with a alpine MRDM500 amp under the floor, with perspex covering it, with 2 Alpine SD 12" 1000w subs to go in in custom boxes. I used the mat from the floor as a template.

i wouldnt make the floor arround the sub box (good idea to hold the box) coz u will loose a lot of bass though that bit...the boot floor will vibrate more...iv made a fake floor out of 3/4" mdf and it saves a lot of bass from just simply vibrating against the metal of the floor/spare wheel well. also the fake floor makes the bass travel into the car rather than into the boot as it would without the mdf floor....u should make a full fake floor.
just thought id say!
good luck with the instal!

I think I get what ya mean, I just need the boot to be functional slightly.
Was originally going to have a 10" each side, but decided against it because I am shite with boot builds.

i didnt say it well, bassically if u build a fake floor make sure it covers all of the boot so that u loose as little as possible bass and so it sounds better (less rattles)! u could always use some brown bread etc!
if u possition everything right, the boot can still be functional! its not as hard as ud think to make boot builds! either that or im better than the average person
good luck again...be good to see sum work in progress pics!

Its finding the time to put the effort in thats a problem, but I have someone who may help me that has done a good boot install.

I see, I wanted to actually sit the subs in the floor originally, and put a grill over so the floor is higher yet still keeps its size and shape, but because of the subs I am going for they would sound shite in such small spaces.

I made a full false floor under my sub box then placed the sub box above.
I measured the box exactly to the nearest mm, so the box sits in my boot perfectly.
I also have a rear strut brace, which made things really difficult...my amps are placed between my rear seats

Oh right, lol.
I suppose carpetting covers up any mistakes you make.
Is it hard to get the carpet to sit smooth and level though??

Yeah.
Either side will have black carpeting. My interior is of Black/silver/red theme. Hence why I got the subs in that colour. The carpets on the side will be held by velcro so I can change my rear lite bulbs and NE stage.
