If you buy a nice one and keep it tidy you won't lose money.

do what I did
Drive a racing Puma, drive a normal 1.7 puma.
Look at the initial expense, running costs and maintenance.
And ask is it "that" much better than the normal one.
Evo mag say something similiar. its a great car, but for me personally, not better (enough) than a standard 1.7 to justify the running.
saying that, i'd love one. if you got one, you would love it

I was going to post and say they're much more expensive than a regular 1.7 of the same year. They are special though.

They are.
just grabbing evo now, comments at the back
Standard puma
Plus - Everything
Minus - Nothing
FRP
Plus - Exclusivity
Minus - Expense, the standard puma does it do well.
there you go, not just me

depends what you want, the puma is a much "better" drivers car.
In mine (and many others) opinions.
I personally really like the st220, but its not for me.

in 10 years or more, is the mondeo going to have held its value like the puma though? they havent seemed to drop cash for years.

probably not. but if i had 8k and wanted a hot hatch then it would not be near the top of my list..... thats all i am saying.

I'd have one. I drive a normal 1.7 regularly (can just see it in the left of my avatar) and its a cracking car.
The styling and recaros of the Racing Puma are much more up my street though along with the exclusivity so I'd go for it. Would have to modify a normal Puma to get it how I wanted to look
