It can be like that sometimes, but then you get a temp or someone a bit like you in who can't take the jokes and ruins it for everyone.
My personal favorite is the remote controlled helicopter that we had at our old office, full scale outside one that on boring days we'd just fly round the office at people.

They are both good. Where as the american one is blatant, the UK one is very subtle and is suppose to be a bit more real, and laughing at some of the nut cases you work with

I love the uk one. One of my favourite programs. Only seen a bit of the US version and will probably need to get into it more before I find it as funny. Ricky Gervais is quality IMO.

I've tried watching the American one a few times but can't stand it, it's blatantly meant to be more obvois comedy that the US chaps like as opposed to subtle comedy that appeals to the majority of Brits. It kind of ruins what it's meant to be about imo.
Not really that much like the show at our place but we do have the odd jokes etc. When I'm having a more awake day I pick up on them as it usually involves me
