Been on direct.gov and got allsorts of info.
Tbh i need it in dumbass terms.
Basically, I got my full Car licence on 19th September 2006, and so need to upgrade to be able to tow more than 750KG's...
How do i do it?
Where can i do it?
What will it cost?
Whats involved?
Any info really.
Could be beneficial to me to do if its sensibly priced!
Cheers

there are many different companies that do the lessons and the tests. look in your local yellow pages under driving instructors. most places that do it round my bit are the same people that do wagon lessons

plus it is pretty pricey and plus you may need to pay to hire for trailor and correct vehicle if you havent got them, the test is also tricky, not trying to put you off but i went along when my brother did it as he has to tow alot of agricultural machinery and it wasent easy.

ive just got my class1 license which entitles me to drive just about anything which on your license C(truck) plus E (which is trailer). What you are looking for is B(car) plus (E) trailer. You can actually at the moment pull a trailer more than 750kgs but your vehicle and trailer cant exceed more than 3.5tonnes combined weight. Basically getting your licence is usually around 12hours training plus your test usually around £20p/h but even still you can only drive a vehicle which is no more than 3.5tonne plus a trailer though once you have passed your B+E, hope that helps

i did it recently
was 2 of us doing it, was 3 days training going over checks etc hooking up the trailor and just general driving around
we were both experienced at driving with trailors and reversing them so wasnt a problem. If you havent done it much that will be the hardest part
is pretty straight forward though
test consisted of
hook on trailor, check lights, number plate etc
answer a couple questions on hooking up, loading trailor etc
drive round for 45mins or so and hook it off
think it cost around £400 each iirc
as nic said most places that do hgv etc do it
