any ideas how to get rid of tapping from a redtop also there seems to be some sort of vibrate when accelerated seems to be comng from back of the engine

back of the engine vibration, sounds like a engine mount rattling..
and the tapping is because the hydrolic lifter is being starved of oil causing it to rattle/tap needs to be looked at to get rid of the rattle, but i havent seen a xe that isnt ok even tho tapping

xe lifters are noisey when cold. its just the way it is. replace them and will probably do the same a couple of months later.
vibration engine mount, or check the manifold to block bit of plate isnt lose or something? been known to rattle from times.
