After handing my notice in last week I've now got a week off. Applied to a few things on agency websites last week.

Had CPP phone me whilst I was at Leeds fest, I asked that they call me back after weekend. They never did

Just had a phone call of Drakes International wanting to interview me Friday. Woop Woop. Not sure who the company is but its more than I'm on now and they have an onsite gym

Need to go in to town and sell myself at some point too (ooh er )

Why did you hand your notice in if you haven't got another job lined up?

Times are desperate already if you're selling yourself in town....I dont bank on you getting much business though.

Management at my current job are have drastically changed the way the department operates to the point where they have told people if they don't like it they should leave.

Pay is terrible for what they expect from you. Aviva btw.

Manpower are okay, but thousands of people apply for each job. I had 2 interviews through them. I asked how many people were to be interviewed and apparently was holding interviews for 5 days, for around 10 jobs.

Had my "experience day" at CPP.

I thought I was going to be there all day, turns out I was there just over 2 hours.

Showed us around the place, gave us some basic background on the place, and told us about the potential £1500 bonus and holidays you can win. Place was really smart, large canteen and small gym on site, not that I'd use that with real membership, they had a full time personal trainer there

I'm just not sure on the work, it seems which ever department you're in - Sales or Service the emphasis is on making an additional sale to the customer, which is fine if you're in Sales I suppose! I was sat with a woman in Service who tried to disuade a woman from cancelling a policy and when I went to Sales I was sat with a lad who took 4 calls from people wishing to activate credit cards and with each one he rolled off a massive script trying to sell them fraud cover etc, all 4 declined.

Prefer admin work, which my current job was moving away from and move call based. This is a bit more money but I'm not sure if its for me. I'm definately not cut out for sales goading people in to buying cover they might never use/need. I know myself I have no time for people trying to sell me it when I'm on the phone!

I'd rather Service out of the two but that had sale elements too.

Also applied to a local valeting place that Toyota (where my mates works) use.

There is no point taking the CPP work if you're just doing roughly the same as before for only a small amount more.

You'll find there is millions of sales and marketing jobs and not much else. Admin jobs are heavily subscribed and there are very few of them.

Take the security job and let the ghurkas throttle any cunt that steps out of line imo.

Your family must be quite well off or you have a decent amount of money stashed away.

Stashing money away is basic common sense isn't it? You know, save for a rainy day, you never know what will happen.

No, getting loans with repayments you cant afford, whilst going out and still spending every little bit of money you ever earn is common sense.
