I've been thinking about getting shot of my Ibiza for a while as it's on finance. Although I'm fine making the payments it would be nice to have an extra £200 a month in the bank and I can't fit a golf bag in the boot
Someone my mrs works with told her stepdad I was thinking about selling it and he's offered me £8k + a car for it. Not sure what the car he is going to offer is but opinions on doing this? The Ibiza has below average miles, full service history (although it's due one soon), 12 months tax and booked in for it's 1st MOT on Friday.
Taking him up on the offer would mean I'd be able to pay off the finance have about £2k in my pocket and whatever car he's offering.
Sorry for the essay but just wondering what other people would do and if this is a good deal?

If you're not happy with the car then that offer sounds perfect, I'd go for it if I was in your position.

That's my only problem. I love the car and with not too much money spent on it I think it would be pretty capable it's just not practical

Buy something more fun and still keep some cash in your pocket, more track inspired?

Stripping it doesn't really make it practical with a family unfortunately

I would only do this if you are left with roughly what you have paid into it so far
