Alright folks, thinking of a little weekend away for the GF's birthday. I have always fancied Iceland, found a decent deal for a long weekend, just wondering if anyones been? Just how pricey it is, if theres a lot to do other than the blue lagoon and geisers (sp).
Cheers

Iceland is very pricey! Expect to spend a few pennies! I was planning to go for a few days, but the prices did put me off, so decided to go next year instead.

I've always wanted to go for a logn weekend, looks amazing but always been put off by costs.
Fear no more, the country is bankrupt and everythign is cheap as chips as the currency got heavily devalued so its a very cheap place to go! They dont much like british people at the mo though so be warned, they blame us for their collapse

i went about 5 years ago, and it was noticably more expensive than england, but it will be, its an island near enough in the artic circle, everything has to be imported.
i went to do geological research so i didnt do many touristy things, but did go to blue lagoon, was pleasant enough
