My mum works with this bird at work and her boyfriend has a Corsa, he was getting it lowered but didnt have enough money for a full suspension system,
He had -80mm springs so he asked me if he shud get a full kit, i told him he wud definatly need one. Anyway, a few weeks went by and i saw him. Car was lowered, he had did all the hard work with the arches, and looked nice, asked him if he bought full kit and he sed no, thought well its up to him. Anyway i saw him the other day and guess what, the springs fucked on him, now he has a bill for about £300 to get it right again

Yeah -50mm is just about fine, above that your gonna have problems.
In my eye's if your going to do something then do it properly or not at all.

Personally i never have more than myself and a passenger in the car so i am never putting the suspension under all that much stress at all though if i was to lower anymore then it would have to be a full suspension kit for me

Deffo, I ran -40mm on std and wrecked them in a couple of months.
Stupid thing is, vauxhall prolly want more to replace his std shocks than to fit koni's or something. Tell him to just fit uprated shocks now!
