Where exactly are they going to find £180m by June 2010?

Fucking pie in the sky dreaming, much like the comments Chavski came out with saying they'd breakeven by 2010.

I know what a budget is, but do madrid and Barca always produce a budget for the following year?

Amazes me how Real Madrid are allowed to operate like this. They seem exempt from any closer investigation. Surely one day it's going to go very wrong for them?!

Shirt Sales, Media Revenue, Positioning in league/europe?

Can't imagine it being 180m in 1 year, and I know Beckham was massive in asia, but didn't he bring in £250m alone in 4/5 years, or something similar?

You're talking about Revenue though, which is fine, they'll easily bring in £180m revenue by next June.

But out of that revenue they have huge costs, biggest of all being wages which I wouldnt mind would be £75-100m from now to June.

To lower the debt by £180m he will have to find £180m profit.

Im going to guess its a lot less than PL, which was about £50m last season.

But the difference between winning it and 3rd will be next to nothing, and they'd of always of budgeted for being in the top 3 imo. So its not going to bring in anymore than normal.

Some more info I found...

'Sales are expected to increase to 421.7 million euros ($620.4 million) in the year ending June 30, mainly on rising ticket sales and other stadium-related income, according to the team’s accounts. Pretax profit is expected to shrink 25 percent to 19 million euros.'

So only a 19m pre-tax profit? How is that going to downsize the loan by £180m?

I watched their game tonight, result aside they don't look capable of winning the CL at all.

Its still early days for them all as a team though, if or once they gel them they could be a great side.

To me, it looked like the midfield and front line were hunting the ball because the back four played with it for too long, leading to Xerez intercepting or hoofing it up over Benzema and Raul to Xerez' GK.

Not officially no, but we we all know they benefit heavily from other organisations such as the banks.
