Looking at upgrading the brakes. I had (i think 286mm?? astra gte) on my nova. They did the job. Whats the best set up for a corsa without spending loads of money?? And also would they peform better if i put a different master cylinder?? bradded hoses??

Cheers mark

I thought Astra GTE brakes were 256, V6 and turbo brakes are around 288mm. I've had both on the corsa and could bake the 256's (unknown discs and pads) but get hardly any fade with the 288's and they've always stopped me when I've wanted them to.

Brakes off a V6 or turbo Cav or Calibra is what I'd be after if I was you. The MC on the corsas seems a wank to change tbh, not sure if anyone's done it, it just means a couple of pumps of the pedal though.

i dont see how changing the master cylinder on the corsa is difficult.. i think finding another MC with more power that has the same hole pattern is going to be the dificult bit

sure someone was going on about mondeo MC fit but not 100%

2ltr brakes (256x24mm) with a good set of discs and pads and some braided hoses just because. Perfect set up for a Corsa tbh. Even used them on my LET for a few weeks with no troubles (not recommended though ).
