Anyone used or own a nokia 5800? Getting one with my new contract and just wondered how good they are. All the reviews seam to compare it to the iphone but I've never used an i-phone either so not much good for me.

you get bored of it easily. and you feel rather homosexual if you ever use the pen thing you get with it.

I've got one, I had an XDA before but it was really shit and this was the next best thing to it for the price.
It's actually quite good, battery life is good (lasts a day if you use it all day, or at least 2 days if not), has GPS, MP3 player, decent camera, 8Gb memory card.
I downloaded Google Mail for it as well so I can check my email on the go (one of the reasons I need a phone like this), all the reviews I read said it's better than the iPhone in several aspects.
I was going to get an iPhone before I started reading up on this Nokia 5800 and decided to go for that instead.
OH and it doesn't randomly crash!
Edit: if you like walking around with your speaker blaring out tunes (i.e. a chav) then the speaker on this is amazing!

I hate mine, it looks alright but it's such a pain to use, texting with your fingers takes about 10 years longer than using the stylus thing, but you look stupid using the stylus lol. I find mine hard to use in work as well because I work outside - the screen is quite dim and hard to see under sunlight.
Battery is good though, the inbuilt speaker is good, and all in all it's quite a stable phone, the GPS is also a damn sight stronger than on the n95.
I don't rate the camera at all though.

I use the stylus on mine, but only because I don't want the screen full of fingerprints etc.
I guess I'm gay.

I really like mine, use the stylus occasionally when I'm on the internet or something, have put a couple of scratches on the screen by accident with my nail while scrolling before
Imo it's better than an iPhone, way better in fact. Nokia just need to pull their fingers out marketing wise as their adverts for it were/are a bit rubbish whereas somehoe Apple have convinced everyone that the iPhone does everything and millions of things that have never been done before when it's not like that at all.
Anyway, I digest. Good phone

Got it today, really impressed so far. Just watched the F1 qualifying on i-player through it. Great picture and was able to connect it to my wireless in the house. Bit of a phone novice so didnt realise that was even possible..
