Well part owner anyway.
Looks like the Prince of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdullah, is going to throw some money at us.
He was at the match on Saturday to put pen to paper on an agreement to open up some Liverpool branded academies in Saudi Arabia (2 there) and also some in North Africa. And since then he has come out personally and said he is locked in discussions to purchase between 25-50% of Liverpool for between £200-350m.
Id imagine he will go for 50% if they are willing to sell that much, then eventually force them out by injecting equity to lower the debt/start the new stadium and forcing them to either match it or dilute their shareholding.
He looks pimp for a Prince tbh I just hope he isnt coming in to throw a load of money at the club, and just get us on a level footing debt wise, start the stadium and just allow us to spend as other clubs around us do.

There has to be a balance I think, Liverpool have the history and proper fan base so any artificial wealth means less to the actual success than it would a Man City. You won Champions League's without it.

tbh, as bad as the yanks are, they have done all the hard work.
We've got planning permission for a top class stadium with the plans there ready to get 72k seats in it. We've now got a great team behind the scenes in Purslow and Ayres who have shown they can bring in big cash commercially. And all the top names are signed to long long deals.

Well the yanks made the plans and just cant afford to do them in the current market - maybe this guy can.
Without loan repayments, and with the extra £55m a season a new stadium would bring in we'd be making more than enough money to compete with the top sides for the big name players.
