well i picked up my GSi today so thought i may aswell start a project thread about it

its a smoke grey gsi with 75k on the clock. totaly standard apart from the magnex exhaust system

it came with full dervice history and a file full of reciepts for all the work done on it in the past, even has the previous tax discs in there

already started changing small bits on it, got a vaux leather gear knob, door pins and tax disc holder from richbrook, also a small ariel in silver (will be changing for black one)
and have bout a 310mm Momo steering wheel just need the boss kit to fit it

heres a few pics

when i get abit of money together i will be planing to change the exhaust as im not too keen on it and i have ordered some smoked side repeaters to replace the nasty orange ones

Looking for a set of cav slabs if anyone has any up for grabs let me know
comments welcome

Small Update: Due to the boot on my gsi being rotten around the rear wiper i have now got a smooth boot sorted, also has the small spoiler added onto the gsi spoiler. im going to be traveling down to maidstone to pick this up on saturday so i will add pics then.

has been booked into vauxhall for a full service on monday aswell

just looking for something different now to replace the gsi alloys

Next to be done:
Replace the magnex system for probably a 3" outward rolled full system
De-cat
Manifold (if anyone has any suggestions on a good one to go for, any help would be great)
Find some jacking point covers (wish me luck)
Get the wheels changed

Looks really nice mate, nice clean example!

Has it been sprayed at all or anything as when I first glanced at the front bumper it looks like its been painted. If not then it looks like its in super condition for its age.

the smooth boot has a gsi spoiler with the saxo spoiler add on - i kept my original gsi spoiler which i was going to give to a mate but after having the boot on afew days decided im not too sure on the saxo add on so when i sand the boot down and paint it i will be putting the original gsi spoiler back on

will put some pics of changes up later

also had the service done today and all is good some im happy with it so far

like the sound of these inlet manifolds, read a little bit about them on some threads whilst browsing the forum and i will probably look into getting one nearer to end of the year

the new boot lid ruins it, the cars lovely but that tailgate makes it look like another modified corsa rather then the nice gsi that it is, as soon as my xe's fitted im my corsa im going for another smoke grey gsi, i loved my old one

in my own opinion the smooth tailgates look good so i wanted to give it a go, once its sanded down painted and original spoiler put on i think it will look tidy

bought some m3 style mirrors to replace the nasty black ones, but when they came this morning i fitted them to have a look and realy dont like the way they look on the car. so im looking out for a set of smoke grey corsa mirrors instead

Things to do:

Smoke grey mirrors - now have original mirrors in gloss black
Fit cav slabs - just need painting before fitting
New exhaust system - now have full system, 3" tip

Small update not much but got a few new bits for the gsi today

Bought a boss kit from DAZ1985 last nite so i can fit my Momo steering wheel
then went down to essex earlier today to pic up some bits from another member off here (grimsby99) nice guy and good to deal with, recomended seller

bought a gloss black basboy bonnet, gloss black mirrors, a full stainless system with 3" tailpipe and de-cat and some 60mm rear springs

put the mirrors on when i got back but didnt bother to take pics as the light was going and my cameraphone is shite

bonnet, exhaust and springs should be getting fitted tomorow. ill get pics up once its done

Next to come
new boot - after having the smooth tailgate there for a while decided i dont like it
new doors and doorcards

also need new carpet in black if anyone has forsale let me know

thats it for now pics soon
