Thoughts on them?
Had an idea to get one of these at the loss of both the Mini conv & the M3.
Mini's causing problems & is out of warranty now. Mini UK has pissed me off with their response to a guffed PS pump on a 27k mile car - they dont want to know.
M3's expensive to run & simply doesnt get used much. Lucky if I do a couple hundred miles a month & at a huge cost. Also cant get Jade insured on it.
Thinking about changing to a single car between us for a few years as were buying a house & could do with pulling the strings in a bit.............TTS has been mentioned. Can get a 58/09 with couple thousand miles for what the 2 vehicles we have to sell are worth.
Thinking a TTS in Ibus white or Imola Yellow would be pretty awesome!!
White -
Yellow -
[Ignore the chinese child]
On paper the TT is as quick as the M3 155mph / 5.2's to 62mph & it will cost much less to run, long warranty & Jade can be insured on it for a decent amount

Yeah I know, the RS6 just ticks all the boxes at the moment so had to buy it! Would prefer another marque that ticked all the boxes tho!

Great cars imo. Maintain a couple of normal TT's on a regular basis - massive step up in build quality etc over previous one too (parents used to own one so I speak from experience on that)
Looks less feminine as already said too. However, am I the only one to think that the TTRS looks a bit too chav considering the price tag?!
And only get the white one!

Dear Sir
Thank you for your recent email. I am sorry to learn of your concerns regarding the power steering on your vehicle.
While we are aware of a few incidents where the steering pump has required replacement, this is not a common problem on MINI vehicles. We have contacted the appropriate regulatory bodies regarding this matter and they have concluded that no remedial action is required. Customer's safety is paramount to MINI and, if there was a safety related problem with any component on our vehicles, we would have issued a product recall.
The service departments within our network of approved dealerships are our technical point of reference in relation to our customers’ vehicles and we rely on them to diagnose and provide advice on any issues being experienced by our customers. Once the vehicle is out of warranty, either due to this policy not being extended or the vehicle being purchased outside of our network of approved dealerships, the owner assumes responsibility for future costs that may be incurred and we are unable to guarantee assistance with repair costs.
However, if a MINI Approved Dealership diagnoses the issue being experienced and feel that, based on their diagnosis, it would be appropriate for us to contribute towards repair costs in the absence of a warranty, they are in a position to contact us directly to request such assistance. If this type of request is received it will be considered on a case by case basis with the mileage, age of the vehicle, service history and where it has been purchased being taken into consideration. Any diagnosis costs would be chargeable. In light of this advice, I would recommend that you contact your local MINI Approved Dealership should you wish to have this matter investigated further.
Once again, I am sorry that you have had cause to contact us on this occasion and hope this information is of assistance to you. Should you have any further enquires, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours sincerely
MINI UK
Not buying another one now!!
