Thinking of upgrading to premium.
Will my bank card work if it says "maestro" on it?
I know I sound stupid but I have never done internet transactions before, so I don't know what I can, and cannot do with it.
Do you think Ian will let me send the cash in the post if I can't??

I used my maestro card
you will have to sign up to internet security banking i think, itle take you through it step by step though, pretty easy

well if you cba with doing that then you cant be arsed viewing "the thread" 
oh and sending a letter must be more hassle than clicking afew buttons on your keyboard

By "the thread" do you mean, this one?
And clicking a few buttons? Erm...No. I have to ring my bank up, set up telephone banking, and then wait for a letter, then set up the internet stuff, which will take...however long...:/
So yeah, sending a letter might be easier tbh.

well your cards shit then because i did mine online and it took a matter of minutes

all that means is when you go into a shop you put your pin code in the computer instead of signing

If you send me your card number, end date, cvv2, issue number and pin i can sort it for you.....

Nothing bad will happen if you do something wrong. Even if you miss a number or get a number wrong it will just bring a message up saying the card number is wrong then you can check it.
I have never heard that you need to get phone banking before you can get internet banking  Try looking on your bank's site as I was able to apply for internet banking straight off of there, as was my mate with a different bank.

Some of these lot probably mean the Maestro equivalent of "Verified by Vista/Mastercard Securecode" rather than "Internet banking"...

Why do you need internet banking to use your card for a transaction To me, internet banking is to view your bank statements, transactions, dd's etc online. Just click the premium services thing and do what it asks. The security code is the last three digits on the signature strip as I'm sure you probably don't know!

I have blocked my card now ! Some securecode(tm) thing on YB banking messed up and wasn't accepting what I was was typing lol.
Oh well, will reset the code today.
