Get pistons pocketed for higher lift cams?

Get ARPs fitted so you can raise the rev limit for cams and power box?

264 cams but iirc philip2 said you can run 270 cams with geting the pistons pocketed more.. as the pistons on the xe engines are pocketed.

gas flowing well thats a bit of a shit to do as reading up on the sbd site the x16 and c16 heads cant be re moddled effectivly due to there origenal casting design and they recomend getting the later z16 head (square ports) as this offers a better ability to gas low..

if you can find a place to do the gas flowing and port and pollish then your laughing.

oh and 3 angled valve ou should get that as standard when having valves lapped in at a machine shop. all it does is make a better seat wont get any more power from it.

but having a powerbox fitted and having a 4 branch mani.. which one is it a 4-1 or a 4-2-1?

but arp rod bolts are a must if you are wanting to rase the rev limit. cant rev the engine over 8k tho as standard rods will break so a remap to 7.5 or 7.8 wil be what you need

Im on mobile at moment. Bt u2u me what there qouting on the head work, could see if can do it abit cheaper for you.

For less hassle stick with the c16 head. Get pistons pocketed 2mm deeper and if stil on stock ecu, 278 is about the largest cam that should just about work (have lumpy idle) then get bottom end lightened and balanced, and id stay at 7.5k peek rpm and obv fit arps.
