Hi,

First time poster here.

I have recently bought a 99 Barina (Corsa), and noticed the centre dash console isn't working (Clock/Temperature). I have so far done:
- Removed the console
- Replaced globes
- Replaced console entirely
- Checked all fuses I could find (couldn't work out which was actually for the clock/console, but I checked them all to be safe).

This is beyond me now. Nothing seems to work.
I have read somewhere something about this console not working if the factory radio is removed. I bought the car with a aftermarket CD player, and have replaced it since anyway, but didn't notice and odd unconnected wires that may be the cause.

Does anyone have any experience on this same issue? And maybe a solution?

Ive had the same problem before, where mine stopped working a few months after I installed an aftermarket cd player and then I replaced it with a good working order one which did not work in my car

My current clock is playing up now and hopefully its just a loose connection

I run an aftermarket cd player (connected to factory harness) and my clock is working fine.

Where abouts are you from "pvandenh"?

I believe you need to cut the RED/GREY wire, (one wire, two colours) on the cabling going into your stereo for the date to show when you turn your Aftermarket stereo on.

As for the temperature. Check that you have the temperture sensor, this is located in front of the radiator.

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback all. Sorry for the slows response (my PC died about an hour after I posted, and I just managed to get it back).

Is anyone able to tell me which fuse runs the centre console? I couldn't work it out from the pics on the back of the fuse cover......

Thanks again.
