Stupid idea.
If they want to bring you two down then put you in the Championship and increase the numbers that go up/down between the two leagues for a few seasons.
Splitting the PL is just ridiculous and is an idea formulated by a chairman scared of his club dropping out of the current PL.

I think the MLS way of doing it is stupid and it would be a bad idea over here.
The likes of Hull, West Brom and Boro would be high flyers!

Increase promotion next season from Champ to PL to 4 teams so we increase the league to 21 teams. Add the two Scots after that season to the CL so thats increased by 1 team.
For the next season have 3 up and 4 down to bring it back to the normal level, and do the same between Champ and D1...or just expand those leagues permanently.
Id hazard a guess it would only be fair to increase the parachute payments (maybe just an extra season of them rather than larger amount) to those going down to make up for it.

If it's to bring the 2 scottish teams they should start at the bottom and work their way up, they would do it easy enough but its the only fair way imo

By bottom do you mean League 2, National Conference or the lower leagues?

I would hate to see Celtic & Rangers in the Premiership - never mind the carnage their supporters cause up down the country at away games!!! Can u imagine!!!

Be good to see some regular "big" games involving Celtic and Rangers, but I like having a Scottish team and checking the SPL results.

Should start where all new teams have to start, just like afc wimbledon and fc united had to
Only fair, if they want to play in england, do it properly

That would never happen! I see what you're saying, but they would never lower themselves to that.

Looks like Cardiff elected to join the English leagues. I'm assuming you were free to do this back then.

Cardiff played in a league (southern third division or something) and because they were the strongest team in wales, they were invited to join division 2
Swansea did it by starting at the very bottom, which back in the 1920's was the third division

I forgot about the carnage that Celtic fans would bring upon England, they can go bust for all I care.

Because its not very fair to let Celtic and Rangers come marching in to the Premiership when there are all the teams in lower English leagues battling their way to try and get in and have been for years.
