I know who put a saab 2.3 turbo in a B.
Wrapped it at Santa Pod last month though.

Apparently its just as easy as putting a redtop or c20let in, as the blocks are near identical or are identical.

The current 2.0 turbo engine is the same as a Vauxhall engine. The Saab engine code is different to the Vauxhall one, but you regularly see them advertised as Z20LET/B207E. The rocker covers are different on them, but I think that the rest is pretty much the same.

there a lad that lives round my area called nige who has a white mk3 astra with a saab engine in. him and his dad did all the work

theres a lad around here thats got a astra estate and he has had a saab turbo engine put into it. his brother owns his own company doing machnics

That's a pretty manly engine conversion

Does anyone know any more about the 2.0 engines, like what gearbox you would use?

There is quite an active community of saab T5 and T7 management mappers, you can remap one with 20 quid and a bit of time.

If you fitted one of the old 200bhp 2.0 turbos 250bhp is only a few quid away.

Just use a vauxhall F16, F20, F28.
