Lad at work was saying i wanna start doing it as a bit of fiddle work. was just wondering if any one on here is one, and what is the training like. is it an apprenticeship or just hands on training with job tickets?

Aye, my mate earns 18k a year for this.... set wage, hugely flexible hours. If he becomes the manager, or the leader who decides when and where, they can earn up to 40k+

You will need to go to agricultural college to become a qualified tree surgeon. Its good money once you get set though.

I've got my CS 30+31which is maintainence of the saw, cross cutting, snedding and felling ticket atm, doing my ariel rescue, tree climbing and using chainsaw from a harness in january. Really it's just hands on training and doing the courses.

My mums friends Whole family are tree surgeons and they are doing pretty well for themselves .
good money in in tree surgery

my mate showed me his wallet last night and said this is my weekly earnings on the fiddle. must of had about 2k in 100s in it hes going to holland now because he can work above power lines cutting them down.
