This morning i started my car and the airbag light came on and went out as usual but then came on and stayed on.
Its not been in any recent accident and I checked to see if anyone had maybe hit it while it was parked up, seems not.
Standard wheel etc.
Any idea whats up peeps?
The main worry is MOT is due by the 15th March and i hear it will fail if the light stays on!?
I might take the bulb out but want to get it fixed before it goes off in my face.
Cheers, Damo

why would it magically develop a fault though?
was joking about it going off, is there not a failsafe in there so if its faulty it wont go off at all?
is it likely to be a sensor, fuse or loose wire etc?

cant remember now mate, something like they wouldnt touch dash panels that were sprayed incase they cracked, i took the panels out in the end last time.
haynes manual says airbag gets power from same circuit as horn and horn fuse is same as interior light!?! but that works!!

Get vauxhall to plug it into tech 1/2.
Its the only option!

stupid question...
whats tech 1/2 ? the vaux monkey diagnostic tool?
also just read in max/haynes corsa book that "airbags are expensive to replace (several £100s) " !!!!!!!!! is it likely that the whole bag needs to be replaced cos i dont have "(several £100s)" !!

tech 1/2 is the vauxhall mechanics diagnostic tool.
Until you get it checked out you will only speculate as to what it might be.
You could pick a s/h airbag up for £30-40 there have been a few on mig recently.
