As some may know, I now have a Mk4 Ibiza Sport TDi, which I'm planning on keeping for a fair few years (4-5 maybe), and is going to be one big project over that time!

I want to create a car which is good looking, fast, handle well but still be comfy enough to cruise around Europe.

There are big plans for the future, lots of power, getting the bodywork 100% mint, transforming the interior and making it handle like its on rails! Nothing will be left untouched and every detail will be looked at.

Anyway, I went down to Surrey on Weds (11/11/09) to pick it up, its a 03 model in Flash Red on 74k miles, totally standard.

So pics,

Then the modding began!
First up was de-badging and de-wipering the rear, also gave it its first proper clean and whacked the club stickers on the side too! So how she is at the moment

Drill a couple of holes in the back of the front lights

Looks nice but expect a load of shitty niggly problems, drop links, bushes, interior rattles and general illfitting, lights steaming up and the airbag light coming on when u feel like it

Anyhelp I can give as well

Another MK4 owner. Very nice base for your plans. Will watch this and give me more ideas for my car.

Alternatively tape a silicon pack that you get when u buy new trainers/shoes to the headlight cover. Usually clears the condensation in my lights.

Oh no, leon wheels have been done before! Im going to try and set new trends, dont want to follow the usual mk4 ways!

Just to give you a little idea on power, im looking at getting about 300bhp, which should be around 5-600lb/ft

Yeah, lots of people tried that during 6th form!

Its a lot more refined, the pull of the torque at 2000rpm is addictive! All seems well under the body so should be a good base to build on

An update!!!

Ran the car at Cadwell Park on the 20th, ran fine all day and the boost pipes stayed on too (came off day before!)

Started on the audio install too, wanted a usable boot, so a false floor was on the cards, hiding the sub and 2 amps (one for sub, other for speakers). Also need to keep tools and spare wheel. A few pics up to how it is at the moment

Start with;

Going to do more work on it tomorrow, hopefully get the power cables in and trim the new boot floor

Nice work on the build!

I know someone around here who was one mapped to about 240bhp but silly amounts of torque, pushes Focus RS down the road, smokes like a bitch though

Think it will be near 500lb/ft, must of been a bit excited writing 600!

2 mates are running 230bhp with 380lb/ft which is max for standard injectors, so with different injectors and a bigger turbo should be quick!

Graham- what colour is the one by you?
