Seen a decent MK4 astra with pretty low miles for age but he has no paperwork to prove it. Could he have swapped clocks to lower the milage can this been done.
Also anyone know of the X18XE1 engine having any ECU problems he says the enigine mangement lights is on throwing up codes for all sensors worst case is a new ECU. Sounds a bit strange

The clocks can be changed yes, easiest way to tell would be to look at the interior i'd say, if it's really tatty, with worn seat etc.
The thing about the ECU etc, is a fault, a friend of mine has the same engine, and I spoke to someone from LMF, and he says that there may be a problem with say the ICV, but as the ECU is faulty it won't show on the diagnostic machine, but would be noticable from driving it.
My mate is selling his atm, got a link for the car?

My Mate also had a problem with his ECU on his Astra.Common problem with them i think.
He sent it off to someone on Ebay who sorted it out for £250 so it wasnt totally bad.You may also be able to source a second hand one cheap?
