Ive got a flashing led to make it look like I have an alarm. Where can I wire it to so that it comes on when the ignition is off and goes off when the ignition is on??

Use a relay via the cig lighter
EDIT: I'll do a diagram as its easier to explain

Yeah, ive got a spare switch, i'll prob just do that. Would have been good if there was a nice easy way to do it so i didnt have to do that tho.

You'll need a 4v voltage regulator, unless you've bought a 12v flashing LED.

get a relay. they have a normally open and a normally closed side of the switch. get a perm live to the switch common and the energised side wire up to a switched live. when power is applied to the relay, the switch is thrown so no power passes to the led. when power is off the led will light.
wire it up so that on the relay:
pin 86 to earth
pin 85 to switched live
pin 30 to permanant live
pin 87 isn't used
pin 87a to the positive side of the LED
I'm asuming it's a 12v flashing LED so you will not need a resistor.

Check if an ignition live goes to ground when it's turned off.
If so, a permanent live and ignition live will turn it on when the ignition is off.
