Which would deliver more power on a standard engine ? A Dbias intake system or a Lexmaul RAM kit?

mantzel styled power box tbh mate, its a shit load cheaper than any of them and does the same job (if you get one make sure it isn't a flimsy one like flame sells)

Power box
Get head ported & pollished (philip2 can do this)
Set of 264 cams (iirc phil said that you can run just over 270 cams of you have the pistons pockets cut deeper)
exhaust manifold (4-2-1)
De cat (or sports cat if you want to be legal)
Decent back box or cat back system
Re map (rev limit raised to 7.5k)
ARP rod bolts
looking at about 135 to 140bhp or a little more as phil wont give a estemate on power increase with getting the headwork done

tbh i would think about 115 to 125 depending on how dtrong the engine is and how good the map is
power box should see 7 to 10
cams should see 8maybe a little more but that is best left to asking the company you buy from
port & pollish all depends on how its done but should see 5bhp.. gas flowing the head will increase this.
de cat bout 2
remap & rased rev limmit god knows
exhaust manifold about 3
cat back system about 2

Sbd reckon c16xe with head, fettled, decent manifold, system, arps, raised rev limit, stock cams and i thnk it was the mantzel but any gud powerbox they were seeing near 150, but abit debateable. My old c16 wit headwork, slightly upped cr, powerbox, stock airbox, pistons would dril 106gti's and ther have 126bhp stock and are alot lighter.

sounds good, im only just starting to tune the car, and am going to be purchasing an inlet manifold, exhaust manifold, decat and centre pipe soon
currently have a ramair induction kit on the car and was just wondering what would perform better on the new inlet (VX) the ramair one or back to standard (with new panel filter) as most of the cars i see on here use there standard filter box

stock air box is what you want with a KnN panel filter, a lot of people drill the lower panel of the air box but that can lead to emmision problems (i had problems with the emmisions after i drilled mine but that could just be mine)
if you want to drill it dont bother, just take the air box off and the lower section has a glued on panel, whip it off and you have as much noise as an induction kit and a lot more air flow

I would like to point out that this is an opinion not a fact. A wrong opinion at that

i have one of your power boxes
And they do there job its just there a little flymsy it might be where i have one of the first gen boxe and the top and bottom sections werd a little thin so they buckled when tightening down, as you said its only one persons opinion and you have done alright for yourself and a lot of pople have bought them from you. I dont want to cause arguments its just what i have found thats all, and a lot of people (not sying anyonin perticular) can be a little ham fisted and if they tighten to much and buckle the power box thn its goosed unles you want to play silly buggers with a hammer and a oxy seteline torch.

Power box is definitely the way forwards, and I would highly recommend flame's, supplied with copper tubes to put the bolts through that prevent crushing from occurring, especially if you do them up to the correct torque setting.

I have a Lexmaul RAM kit, it pulls alot more after 5k, you can feel the difference but needs a remap as it just pulls to the limiter. Bout 13bhp more max.
I haven't tried one of the boxes though.

i prefered the drive of a car fitted with the lexmaul inlet than the power box style ones.
