Well, Heritage, the company responsible for restoring the Vulcan have just rented my companies empty warehouse next door to store all the parts for the Vulcan. They are talking about running the engines before Christmas on their rig. I keep popping in to see all the stuff they have in there, its awesome!

Apparently the spare engines they're keeping in there are the last remaining spare engines in existence

My boss used to wire the Vulcans up, he said he's one of the only non-pilot people to have slept in the cockpit

well yes there is only 7 iirc olympus engines with hours left that were new old stock from RR

It all looks ace in the warehouse though. Feel a little privileged too, we are only 15 mins from Bruntingthorpe though.

I'm a fan tbh. I've also had the privilege of climbing into XM598 which is located at RAF Cosford. It is an awesome beast. And the cockpit is soo tiny inside.


I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
