What could i do to tidy up my engine bay? I cant seem to find anywhere to re-route pipes and wires to look tidy! i dont really want to move my battery so would a cover or bag be better? any other ideas of what i could do to tidy it up a bit?

battery bags came on astra vans iirc, problem is white shows everything up, can you not get a cover for the engine and spray it? maybe paint manifold or heatwrap it

ye i think im going to get a battery bag just to tidy that area up a bit. I was thinking about getting a cover and then painting it white or maybe airbrush it not quite sure though. Do you know if the corsa engine cover will fit? as its an astra inlet.

What colour would you suggest for the manifold? just a plain silver?

What do i do with all the wires, hoses and pipes though? i was after getting somewhere close to Col004's engine bay

i think a corsa one could be modified to fit

as for the manifold i'd say either black or silver

all the pipe's i'd give them a good clean unless you would want to buy a coolant hose kit, here http://www.roosemotorsport.co.uk/index.php?cPath=20_27_28&osCsid=in8gs62ucnc1ksm80dcirs2b50

i'll see if i can borrow one off someone to try it.

I think black would better as it would be understated and clean looking for a manifold.

What colour hoses do you reckon? just a clean set of black or white, or a colourful set such as red or blue?

Just give it a proper good clean mate. Get some degreasing foam, spray all over and aggrivate it. Then put some silcone spray on the hoses to brighten them up etc etc. Best thing is, its cheap to do. Then think about getting some new hoses and painting some bits and bobs.

This was my LET when it first went in:

but with some serious elbow grease, general clean up, new silicone hoses, polished bits and more it now looks like this:

That is gorgeous mate! I think elbow grease, a tin of paint and a trip to the chromers might be in order! What colour hoses would you suggest?

Cheers mate. Don't get anything chromed mate because it'll crack under the heat. Get it polished up instead. Harder to maintain but will outlast chrome plating ten fold. Gota be red hoses all the way mate!
