Just noticed its supposed to have an oil cooler.. can I just change the oil filter housing thing and not run one? Or does it need a cooler?

in a corsa? be fine without it really for day to day stuff.

Yeah it's going in a corsa b I'm not sure if i should run one or not :S What corsa can I get the rad and pipes off? don't wanna bodge oil pipes all other the engine

you dont need it, just remove the sandwich plate and get a shorter thead for the filter.

Use the thread plug off an NE to delete the sandwich plate

never knew the c20seh had one, thought it was just the c20xe and let, strange why vaux thought it needed one.

you dont need one. Ran an SEH for 8 months without a cooler and had no worries.

My XE didnt have 1 from the factory.So an SEH will be fine without it.

Late spec XE's didnt have them fitted.

never knew that. latest car ive taken an xe out was an M reg calibra. that had oil cooler.

Yep as far as i was aware the late spec XE didnt have an oil cooler.
My engine came out a bog standard L reg cavvy sri and didnt have an oil cooler.

It maybe wasnt specific to all the late spec XE's,but they deffo werent fitted as standard to them all.

I've got a late spec XE with a cooler sandwich plate.

After reading this thread thinking of removing it and not running a cooler. Where can I get an adapter to do this?
