If everything on the Windows side of things is OK then your best bet is to strip the laptop down, clean any dirt and crap that you can see.

Next, remove the heatsink/fan assembly, again clean any dirt embedded in the fan/heatsink and then clean the heatsink and CPU mounting surfaces, apply some thermal grease and then refit the heatsink/fan.

Finally, reassemble the laptop and it will run fine afterwards.

I had the same problems on my HP laptop and that wasn't even a year old when it started developing the same issues.

I'd strip it down and give it a good clean, you might find an obvious build up of dust or you may have to be very thorough. Good luck and fingers crossed.

Yes. Do a Google for your laptop's "service manual" - this will tell you in what order to remove things if you're not sure. Normally it's something like:

- battery
- hard drive
- RAM
- WiFi mini PCI card
- keyboard
- TFT screen
- top plastics

Just be careful with the plastics - if you use too much force some can snap very easily so just take your time.

Heatsink air ducts are probably just clogged mate. On my dell, this was accessible just by removing a cut out on the underside of the laptop and then carefully removing the dust. Make sure its off and the battery is removed first though
