I'm thinking that too It looks like it's had the middle cut out and then had some box section put in.

i cut all slam pannel back as plans were to have a bigger rad in there and had to cut that much away to get it in as first plans was to put my turbo enging in it but then diced not to so stuck with the standad rad and welded a bit of angle iron in it till middle of next year when i do stic my turbo in it
why does a road car need heaters

1800 16v is a better engine than a turbo engine anyway. its not about the numbers, its about the delivery.
should be seeing low 13's on the strip next year indeed. top work.

Lol thats a big block though totally different kettle of fish to a x18xe1.
Its the smallblock 1800 that has the power delivery to rival a let.

the slam panel doesn't matter non structural part of the car.. only there to hold bonnet down and lights in place.

what keeps the wings together then? without the slam panel the wings would be free to weaken on the chassie legs surely?

no you can run them with no slam panel its not structural i just welded the angle iron in to help hide and hold the light loom
