Well for two years now i have just done my insurance over the internet. But i keep getting told ringing up is cheaper but never really had the credit to blow on ringing up premium rate numbers from a mobile

What did you save by ringing up your insurer?

In your eyes whats the best way on getting cheap insurance?

Looking to insure a Golf anniversary if plans go ahead but its a coming up at 1700 TPF&T

Any help much appreciated

Sometimes it's cheaper sometimes it's not. Personally I just use confused.com get the best quote, phone Adrian Flux and tell them, and they beat it

people that use flux, once you have got an online quote, how near has this quote been to the actual quote they give you when you phone up? as the online quote is a provisional quote

What if i put the Mrs down as policy holder and me as named driver, would it get it any cheaper or only a little?

DO NOT GO WITH E-CAR!

If something happens they are shocking at sorting it out, I'm still going through something from 2 years ago!

I'm insuring my anni for around £600ish fully comp with Brentacre. No one else could get near that at the time.

Bare in mind that i 'think' the policy holder is supposed to be the owner of the vehicle?

Known as fronting, and is illegal.
The reason its so much, is because so many people drive like twats or without insurance etc thus putting the honest guys insurance up

Because unless you pay everything up front the APR they charge to pay monthly is rediculous. I got a quote with them for just under £600 but if you paid monthy it worked out you payed just under £1k

If you mean sites like confused.com etc i've found they give out rediculous prices and if anyone accepts one through them they're crazy

Flux qouted me £900 for a 1.2 9v justy, as just a renewal quote, so i call up saying no way am i paying that, thats stupid, so i gave over all my details for the corsa, all mods and the expected power provided, £950 for the year! :/ wonder how they come up with these figures!
