Love 'em!

Seeing them this Friday, but it's a DJ set... was wondering if anyone else has seen a Pendulum DJ set?

Do they keep it drum n bass, what I consider the music to be.

Or do they go more down the rock route?

Play a lot of their own tracks?

Or completely their own is what I'm hoping for really what genre do you consider their music to be? Heard a lot of people referring to it as techno-rock

they are shit, sellouts who can produce decent dnb but choose to produce twaddle to sell to the masses. pendulum dj set is just some random playing pendulum tracks on a cdj... no one from pendulum will be there.

Incorrect. I've seen several Pendulum DJ sets, and it's Pendulum in charge of the wheels of steel. You get some of the bigger Pendulum tracks, some Drum and Bass, some Rock, a bit of everything. They're brilliant as DJs because they stick to their roots a lot more.

Here's an older Pendulum set, to get the idea across.

Its at stealth so I may pop down for it, they are a it poppy though but hopefully will play some decent tracks.

Have seen shyfx and bassline smith and wouldn't put pendulum at the same level or anywhere near it but they may change my mind come friday night, would be funny if transit mafia were better on the night (which I'm thinking they might be)

Utter dogshit, should be shot for watering down the DnB genre with their garbage for students that can't cope with real DnB.

I've seen all of them DJ live, and yes, they're all outstanding. That doesn't mean that Pendulum aren't any good, it just means they're not any good if you're after pure D&B. If you listen to them for what they are, rather than constantly comparing them to pure D&B acts, they're good at what they do.
I'd much rather be seeing proper D&B DJs, don't get me wrong, but I still enjoy seeing Pendulum.

I enjoy all types of DnB, and at first I disregarding Pendulum as being way too commercial.

But I though In Silico was a brilliant album. People just think it's cool to hate popular groups, I'll reserve my 'live' judgement until tomorrow but tbh I think they're great

Saw Pendulum last year and they were fucking ace!

Don't listen to the bashers, Pendulum don't claim to be old skool. They use a live MC at their gigs too. Works well.

2010 tickets have just gone on sale.

I bought that tape pack few weeks after the event. I have it within my grasp right now.

The Mickey Finn B2B with Zinc tape that is playing over that video IS one of the best tapes I had ever heard, Eva Rampton stole it from my Sony Walkman that had been confiscated at school, I fucking know it was her as she was working in our head of years office at the time.

Lost so many good tapes, managed to rebuild my collection now though thanks to the wonders of the internet

No, but albums are produced in a studio. MC's are on stage at live gigs. You should go to a real DnB night, you would enjoy it so much more.

I think he's referring to a Pendulum live gig, where you might not expect an MC, compared to a Pendulum DJ set where you would.
