Need to declare new engine, its a 1.6 where is the number on the engine? Can't see it

Its where the gearbox mates up to the block.

Look on the engine block where it meets the gearbox bell housing, there is a flat angled section, its starts with the code and follows with the engine number

or possibly

it could be on a flat edge at the top of the block, where the cylinder head is fitted, its like a little tab usually front right looking in, around the dizzy /coil pack area

most likely the first one though. May be covered in grease and shit, wipe it with a cloth and some panel wipe.

Follow the black arrow, and don't worry if your engine doesn't look like this as this is a c14se in the pic
