Yeah, my brother started buying LaserDiscs when he was at uni (early 90s) as he had a pretty decent spec ProLogic setup in his room at halls. Still has a few pioneer players now, although it's all boxed up along with his film collection. Shame it never really caught on, although it's probably down to the fact you had to flip them over half way through the film and it wasn't cheap technology.

i thought laser disc was some spaz name for cd's... never realised it was a different thing!

The only person I've ever seen with a laserdisc was a teacher in primary school, that was a long time ago.

Yes I still have mine for a couple of lasers I cant still get on dvd/blu ray! Freddie Merc Tribute the FULL concert is amazing!
