If you were that worried about fuel economy surely you wouldn't contemplate an XE Corsa?

Ive heard xe's run 32+ mpg which i deem good. Ive known two people with xes and they both got better mpg than my 1.4 sport. Should get at the least 270 miles to a tank i think and that would be with a lot of right foot action.

Where he starts a thread about XE mpg
imho if you are inclined to create a whole thread about the difference, you must be worried.

I remember Lil G saying it used to sit at lower revs in 5th than is 1.4 Sport, so he was spending the same, possible less on fuel when going to Uni.

On normal driving days,my XE was more economical than the 1400 8v it replaced.
5th gear at 30mph,wee blip of the throttle and it pulled effortlessly to the 60-70mph limit.

less throttle applied to get up to speed quicker uses less fuel would you say corsa_sport21?
